The line about agreeing to show his kid YouTube videos of flat tires, in exchange for putting on light jeans, is a perfect encapsulation of the toddler-parent experience. The conversations are so inane but the emotions are so high.

The Vietnam War joke at 9:05 deserved so much better of a reception than it got.

John performing not one but two golden bits at once! Everybody's Live is now the stage for John's fresh stand up material and we are very spoiled.

These short monologues are funnier than 90% of entire standup specials other "big name" comedians.

It makes sense that John Mulaney wrote the SNL Stefon monologues because this show is essentially one big Stefon monologue.

“This show has got everything: A midget sized robot serving drinks, Waingro from Heat doing a stand-up monologue about being Waingro from Heat, 20 Willy Lomans in a room talking about the internet, Richard Kind.”

I'm watching the show on Netflix but it's just so good that I opened this YouTube video so that I could tell the world: WOW is this a great show. It is wild to see someone checking every single box of the things that have kept this late night format relevant for the better part of a century... while also redefining it in such unique ways. You especially get to see just how much John is achieving both of those things in the episodes where his heroes guest star. You can see it on Conan's face that he can't hardly believe just how haphazardly John had queued up the segments but somehow effortlessly improves every curveball into one classic moment after another. The same admimartion and pride are palpable throughout when Letterman sits in. You can see on his face as he delights in how much John's show is simultaneously going off the rails but somehow hitting every beat at the same time. I don't know if what I just wrote really conveyed what I intended it to... But yeah it is just so satisfying to watch someone perform at the highest level like this.

TIL that if you put a wall of text for one frame in the subtitles you get a spike of people trying to see it.
