OnePlus Pad 2 - After 7 Weeks

OnePlus Pad 2 has been around for about 7 weeks now and OnePlus has really shown immense improvement in the tablet category. Is it still the number 1 android tablet you can get under ₹40,000?

I rarely ever comment, negatively?
But yeah, I did not understand how your review is 7 weeks in the title and you have used it for 4 weeks. Or for example you talk about what the pad needs to improve by mentioning things that are impossible to improve.

What really got me was you saying that the pad is feature packed, it makes me believe that you only arrange good words to put them together for the video, but the pad is not feature packed.

1. Ecosystem

- The note taking app should sync across all oneplus devices. I had my notes on the pad believing they would sync, just to realize one day that I needed my notes that my oneplus 12 did not have the notes I had taken on the oneplus pad 2.

- The stylus only vibrates and the tap function only works within the oneplus app, so switching to a third party app is hard because the pen does not work well.

- Sometimes I take a photo on the oneplus 12 and the pad has not gotten it yet.

- The connection between devices sometimes goes off.

2. Productivity

- The latest chip, yet no desktop mode. Open canvas is OK at best for multitasking when using the device, but sometimes everyone needs a desktop mode to get other things done, especially if you have the best chip and video out capabilities.

- You cannot even use the notes app to sign documents, you cannot import pdfs, you cannot edit them, again third party note taking apps will not work. Try it yourself, your hand will input touches on the screen, it will be a mess.

3. Battery

- I only use my pad for 1 hour of french classes via zoom plus homework, that already consumes 50% which is OK, but I just feel that at the same time that is a poor experience considering that on my phone I can go two days without charging and the pad feels like needs to be recharge everyday?

4. Updates
- The north american version has yet not received a single update. Will it ever?
- Did you receive the AI toolbox? (feature packed)
- Is your pad not sucking all your messages and your messages never reach your oneplus phone?
- Is your pad being recognized by the red cable club? Can you see the warranty?


There is only so much more I can say, but what I where I can summarize it all is please avoid becoming that reviewer who speaks too fast, records too fast, only for the sake of views but without anything real to say.

I had the oneplus pad 1 but i had to switch because of the 128gb and no upgrade storage then i got the samsung s9 256gb for 400 swiss francs as the oneplus pad 2 was 550 swiss francs

OnePlus Pad 2 comes with IPS LCD which is only downsize of this tablet but other specs such as Andriod OS and 8 Gen 3 chipset are it's plus points. Amongst chinese brands only Honor MagicPad 2 12.3 (2024) comes with OLED display, Android OS and snapdragon 8s Gen 3. But, amongst chinese brands Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 (2024) have the best display it's variant with Tandem OLED display and PatterMatte Screen and a 4-Eye protection Certifications is the best, but it comes with HarmonyOS along with google apps sorted in it, only downsize is it's processor which is as powerful as Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 or 8 Gen 2. Also 8 Gen 3 and 8s Gen 3 are separate chipsets from snapdragon. 8 Gen 3 is more powerful then 8s Gen 3.

You spend 7 weeks! you never know???! I bought this oneplus 2 but I measured the display its only 11.7inch, not 12.1 across display, its misleading! Did anyone actually notice that!??? All my 12inch tablet from Samsung Poco all measured to be 12inches in display. Why oneplus pad 2 only 11.7inch? Its deceptive!
