The Schulich Library of Science and Engineering occupies the former space in which Ernest Rutherford conducted his Nobel-Prize winning research in Chemistry. This large library and its brick decor has an internal elevator that reaches all 6 of its floors. The main floor houses the library services and a space for computer and printing use. The 3rd, 4th and 6th floor are designated quiet study areas while the 5th floor is group study areas. The washrooms are on the 2nd, 4th, and 6th floors. Located on the SE corner of campus, north of Burnside and south the McConnel, the Schulich Library is one of McGill largest libraries.
