FG830 sounds great . A word to beginners make sure to get the guitar set up with low action . It really helps a lot .

Just purchased the Breedlove Discovery S Concerto Sitka-African Mahogany and LOVE IT!!! I have a Yamaha FG800 and the Breedlove blows it out of the water!!!

I don't think there is a bad choice in the bunch. The first guitar I bought was a Yamaha. I moved on pretty quickly once I realized that playing was going to be a big part of my life, but that first Yamaha was great to learn on. I paid it forward by gifting it to a young friend of mine who wanted to learn but couldn't afford to buy one. Great video guys!

Very helpful video. I'm currently looking for a second guitar and my shortlist consists of the Yamaha FG830, Eastman PCH1-D, Seagull S6, Seagull Entourage and Takamine GD20 or GD30. My problem is that the local store just doesn't have these to try. They ordered an FG830 for me so I really want to like it when it finally arrives! If anyone has tried any or all of them then please comment your opinion 👍🎸. I had the chance to try some Seagull S6 guitars a few months ago when I bought my Artist Mosaic Element and loved them. So the Yamaha has some work to do ☺

Some finger picking along with your explosive strumming would be nice to evaluate an instruments abilities.

Seagull should always be included in this class of guitar. I personally find mine to very well set up and sound as good or better than many twice the price.
