I think the Yamaha trumped against the other guitars here. The sound attack is really clear and woody especially on the thicker strings.

I went shopping for a small, good quality guitar for my daughter the other day. The little Martin and the GS mini were nice but had compromises on the sound. We ended up with an all solid Yamaha CSF3M in sunburst. Best bang for the buck in my humble opinion.

Nice video. The Yamaha acoustic guitars are a nice bang for the buck. I own an FG830 and it is really starting to open up.

I got a Chris McKee signature Taylor for Christmas (minus the signature so far). Great Taylor.

Picked up a fg800 and it is phenomenal for the value. Really a joy to play everyday. I think I’ll have to pick up the fsx800.

If I were in the market for a new acoustic travel guitar, I would absolutely grab that Martin Jr.
The sound of that shocked me. I was not expecting it to sound that great! 🐰❤️🎸🎵🤝✌️

Ahh....tasteful demo melody CG. Grateful for well built affordable guitars. Yamaha has indeed "knocked it out of the park" with FS/FG!

I like that Cooper brought up about changing the strings. I wouldn't have known that as a first time guitar buyer.

I have the Fender GC 140 which I bought second hand from someone who also liked travel guitars. I like the sound of the Ibanez but have heard that the strings sit higher over the frets. Yamaha is always one of my favorites in terms of value and sound quality so if I were buying brand new, the FSX 800 or the Martin 000J which is all wood and sounds great!

As an old high school band Euphonium player, I didn't need to Google that! LOL! In fact, I still have one. Gotta keep the lips in shape. Great video!

I REALLY like the sound of the Yamaha, for a lovely rich tone where some of the others can sound flat. I'd definitely try out a Yammy before other makes.

Just recently I bought the Yamaha FSX800C in Natural and man, its serious guitar for the money. I had to get the action lowered a little bit but out of the box factory setup strings and sound is exceptional. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable guitar. Pickups are also great plugged-in.

These are all great choices. I just picked up the Martin D-X2E for $599. Solid top acoustic electric with a really nice gig bag. Sounds heavenly. I just want to play it all the time. I’d throw that and the Taylor Big Baby for $499 in there as more options in 2021.

Thank you for this video! For me it”s almost a tossup with the Martin, the Yamaha and the GS Mini Taylor! I have a Martin SWDGT and I absolutely love it for looks, sound and concept. That said, for my next easy practice guitar, I’m leaning GS Mini. In this comparison, I do think the GS Mini punched way above its class and I already own a Martin. A little Taylor would make a welcome addition! Such a tough choice though! I’d have one of each but the lady in the house would impede my goals!
