volt is faster but it just doesnt seem like it because he needs time to build that speed, he needs time to accelerate, gauss seems faster because his is instant whilst volt needs to reach his max speed

In my opinion, Gauss is the fastest (for now) in Warframe. Why? Because he can run on the surface of water which proves his speed force....

gauss always seems fast because of his instant acceleration and the super big fov boost, but then the speed after is different, also gauss can be buffed by volt but volt cannot really be buffed by gauss so thats one less/more frame to buff either frame, also wow gauss cut so many corners

I'm fairly sure if you put all three +slide -friction mods on volt and tap ctrl every few seconds volt will go significantly faster

Maybe further testing till you get the perfect run for both? Also, how about editing the footage and putting them side-by-side in the video? That way you don't even have to time them, and just watch them race in real-time.

Also... You can prolly make both of them faster too. One of the things I recommend for Volt is that if you have a mod on that's adding only like 15% power str. Try swapping that with something like Rush instead.

A little tip u gonna need innodem or praedos
For gauss use molt
Volt bullet jump and slide for a lil boost
Madurai for strength
Ammalgam serration
Red tau archon shards
And u can rival the top ten speedsters of warframe if u master ur build
Also use captura

The wall hitting is necessary because that's what happens of gauss gameplay. No control over movement.
Volt > Gauss
Loki > Ivara

Gauss seems faster because of the crazy fov change and the limited mobility which realistically only occurs at extreme speeds (see what happens when you hit the steering wheel on a full speed bugatti for example). Volt having perfect mobility already makes him seem slower, but yea, we knew from the start who is faster.

Volt is slower than Gauss in normal environment.
Volt has basic movement speed 1.2, Gauss 1.8, Gauss can use Rush cause of his Kinetic when Volt couldn't and Volt only could be faster if there be hard invest in strength and duration of Speed just to low on 230% duration its only around 23 sec.
Plus Gauss can make small rushes and rush in mid air.
