Ok so some context for this .
1. Yes volt is faster
2. Titania is the fast frame ( if you count flying )
3. Gauss ability to run on water is an implemented mechanic for him it's not a result od his speed .
4. Gauss has a higher initial velocity but since nothing buffs the over all speed it's just that initial burst that as faster than volt . (If you hold his one down volt will fly past him . But if you tap/stagger it. you'll smoke volt )

Volt is for people in a rush, while Gauss is that right amount of speed to control yourself

Gauss has a higher theoretical limit to his speed than volt does, however, if you're not building for and setting up around it, volt will typically outspeed in long distance. Short distance, Gauss wins because his acceleration is instant.

The thing thats great is that guass and volt with max speed builds as well as subsumed abilitys to increase speed even further if energy wasnt an issue for either gauss can cap his speed slightly faster than max speed volt purely because of the way molt increases mach rush speed multiplier
