My fav part so far is the option to switch between PVP or PVE as I wish, and not lose any progress. Sometimes I want that adrenaline of the PVP but others I just want to chill (like most week days) and not be so focused as is needed in PVP. It’s great to have a game that can serve both needs as I can really get invested in it.

Few missed opportunities after watching the live stream.

First off, open world land based stuff and customisations…

Purchasing “furniture” rather than such as small ship buffs it would be cool to have a Captains Room that is customisable inside your ship, where you can put some minor stuff, for your own fun, such as trophies, outfits etc (from treasure chests on land). it can be accessed when docked.. you can find this stuff from land based chests and treasure maps.

Then after so much infamy and resource gains, to take over some small islands and build a fort or pirate outpost that is build up with defences, and put furniture and other bigger cooler stuff. It could also be a place where you join with your friends to play mini games to connect with other players with leaderboards, to drink, show off your stuff - and vice versa.

In PvP servers, if you earn a title in your name will make it known you occupy one, so other players might follow you to it. The PvP servers would have more lucrative forts with a much bigger range of customisation and rewards can have a chance to be taken over.

Land based co op to overthrow pirate lords would be cool too, where your avatar can partake in some combat (on your own or with other players), and after completing once, small cargo, or up to 5 times = can be rewarded with outfits and count toward achievements/trophies such as proof of slaughtering the pirate lord. It would be pretty cool to do that. To overthrow pirate lords.

To add to the pirate fort/outpost, you could recruit NPCs such as builders (with varying skill and costs) in the hubs which you task with making the stuff, or Defense NPCs to help make it harder to wipe out. Maybe some areas have better NPCs than others which encourages exploration. Events in game might have special ones pop up every now and then.
