The one thing nobody has ever mentioned was that out of the box, connecting to your iPhone it won’t be getting the best sound out of it. You have to go into your settings and turn off reduce loud sounds under headphone safety. After doing that it will definitely improve the amount of power it has. I’d say this will benefit those with higher ohm headphones by about 30% improvement loudness on hd 660s and it sounds a lot better now.

For Android users I must recommend using a third party app to use the USBC apple dongle. I use usb audio player pro. I had a problem with volume when first using them. By default the dongle was only using below half volume and I couldn't raise it. The app gives you full control of the master volume every time you plug it into android.

Yo, I'm not an apple guy at all, but heard a lot of good things about this unusually cheap apple device so I ordered one. At first I thought the volume output was low so I looked into it and downloaded USB Audio player pro that can boost the volume. I plugged my shure SE215 into the dongle and turned on Spotify and was blown away. The audio quality on this thing is unbelievable. Detailed and punchy bass out of my shures. I lll def order another one just in case apple discontinues it or comes to their senses and Jacks up the price.

I bought one but wow, the output level is extremely quiet.. Read a bit more into it and apparently it's the european versions that have half the output level...

The only IEM that is completely flat across the entire spectrum is the TinHiFi P1 Plus of all of the IEMs I have measured.

How do you compare it with Samsung Type-C DAC.
People say it’s better than Apple’s Type-C DAC

I’m scratching my head. I’ve used Apple products since 1 May 1986 but when I replaced my iPod Touch with a second hand iPhone 12 Pro because the Touch was too small (only 256GB) I had to buy one of these and wasn’t at all happy with what I was getting through my HD555s, now nearly 13 years old, so I got a Dragonfly Red (that was enough of a stretch without going for the Cobalt) and it blows away every iPod ever made. Now I’m thinking of saving up for the HD650s. Originally over a grand, they are now NZ$650-ish, still a stretch unfortunately. I’ll have to get saving furiously.😊

yes but always remember I have a samsung A52s with 1 terabyte sd card and a native 3.5mm jack. You need to junk your top end devices without connectivity, they don't serve a purpose anymore.

What really frustrates me is that usb c has provisions for analog audio using the devices on board dac which should be better in theory.

Hey sir,
Im an iphone 15 plus user and i just got kz castor bass boosted Iems so im looking for a convertor which i will use in gaming and for songs listening, now i have 2 converters in list this apple type c to 3.5mm and one on headphone zone d10, the difference is idk if that headphone zone one would support my device or not because many peoples complain about hissing noise with this type of connectors but the only confusion i have is that this apple converter does not have hi res sound so do i have to compromise in songs ? I have budget iems but i want to use them to their fullest so will this work fine?

Sorry for a lengthy question but your answer would be appreciated sir🙏
