How Apple Made The iMac So Thin

Apple just introduced their new generation of iMac at the Spring Loaded event, and it has a lot of new features. Including a FaceTime camera, spacial audio, and a professional studio mic array. But what's getting most of the attention is the iMac's new design. It's not only colorful, but also super thin. Over 3x thinner than the previous generation iMac model. So how was Apple able to pull this off? Well that’s what I, Greg from Apple Explained, will be explaining right now.

The Ethernet port in the power brick is a stroke of genius! And these new iMacs looks so cool!

The new iMac colors remind me more of the old iPod shuffle and nanos when they had a variety of vibrant color options

Love the new background music you use. I like it better than the old one, but both are good. They both exude "apple'.

I immediately liked this video because of the sudden jump in production quality and innovation. You used a lot new animations I didn’t expect. It’s also in 60fps. This is such a great video. Thanks Greg! Also I love the added humour in your speech.

Apple: *spends over 9 years trying to figure out how to make a new design*
Greg: figures out their strategy in 5 minutes.

It's so incredible to see how far technology has come. We have these new, slimmer iMacs nowadays, but if you look back 20 years ago, at the iMac G5, it was much, much bulkier. Awesome!

I'm usually an "anti-apple" person because of the status associated with the brand, high prices and lack of new technologies in some devices that people still buy at high prices because of the status. But they have really awesome products and this engineering is absolutely amazing, I loved the Ethernet port idea

It’s pretty incredible that they packed so much power into such a thin profile. Such a shame they don’t make the easily repairible/upgradeable.

I just don’t understand how people can dislike the video, is such great quality, whole being informative! Also, it’s so crazy how computers are getting so thin, that they can’t have an audio jack plugged into the back of them!

Deserved many more subs. Not a 100% apple person but intrigued by some of the actions making they did and you explained it nicely.

Greg: "Kind of like my one purpose is to get you to absolutely smash that like button, thank you!"

Me: 10 out of 10 joke right there!

They’ve been engineering repairability out of Macs since 2015. Way to go!
