There is a clarity of sound about this piano. I prefer the older Steinway models which have a mellow clarity of sound.

А Михаил Плетнёв несколько лет отказывался от концертов где были именно стенвейны, мне тоже кажется их звучание слишком сухое, безжизненное, мало тембровое

Surprised to see such small casters on a new Steinway B. The Hamburg models seem to have larger ones. Are you sure this is a new B? I thought the new NY Steinway models had rounded cheeks like the Hamburg ones. The hammers on this piano are soft so it gives a fairly subdued sound. I'd like this piano voiced more aggressively while maintaining the singing quality.

Sounds like a Hamburg Steinway to me.. American Steinways have a much mellower sound in the upper register.
