First one had the warmest tone. Third one was best of both worlds

The problem with this test isn't about the pianos, it's the acoustics of the room and also the basic limitation of a microphone that can't capture the full range of the sound they make. A large concert piano like the D is meant to throw lots of sound in a large space. It's not going to sound hugely different in a small room, but you put the smaller pianos up against it in a real concert hall and listen to them from far away, especially with an orchestra playing, and you'll notice a huge difference, because you would not hear a smaller piano very well over the other instruments in a concert hall.

Anyone else watching this on the phone and be like: "yeah they all sound the same"

I like that he plays La Campanella while comparing different models like this piece is nothing sort of difficult

I’ve played a Steinway once back at the conservatory, I had a (good) vertical Yamaha at home for practice but that Steinway feeling stayed under my fingers all day, like an exquisite dish you still think of hours later or a persistent perfume

The upper register gets better in sound as the price increases.🎹🎼

Even I have to say I cannot see enough of a difference to justify the 10x price tag and I'm a professional pianist. That's definitely too much money imo. (It does look absolute stunning tho)
Edit: I forgot about how the feel changes pianos. I'm sure th last one is much more satisfying to play

Evidently pianos are like fine wines, you must be a connoisseur to tell the differences.

That model B needs some voicing in the middle of the Piano, it’s very worn

I like the b one because it's so precise

I can't tell the difference either, but if I had to pick the best sounding one, I'd pick the middle priced one. That's encouraging!

There is so much more to playing a piano than just the sound. And comparing it over a phone I would want to be actually in the store with a pianos as close to each other as possible.

That model O has such a powerful sound. Can’t believe it is under $25k.

Now do a fazioli f308. Definitely more expensive than a steinway. A piano dealer near me has one so I luckily have gotten the opportunity to play on it. Absolutely immaculate timbre and perfect action.

3rd one is the beast of beasts. Hits your chest when you lower music stand and rumble low end with damper up. Or just punch the hell outta a huge chord and 10th or octave. It thumps you for real. They are amazing

I was gonna buy a house but I decided I could probably live inside the piano.

I just checked out a B. They're going for $133k. Recheck the prices, but great playing regardless of which piano you choose.
