I just canceled my Xfinity wi-fi, price is terrible, I was supposed to pay $54 a month, and I always ended up paying around $65-100 a MONTH, for just no reason! And it was unlimited. All I used it was for school. I am here trying to get a new one, due to this review, I plan to get t mobile and I am a t-mobile customer! Thanks for the review!

It's been a couple of months since I switched to T-Mobile gone Internet. Honestly, it's been one of the best decisions I've done in a long time and I've never been more satisfied with an ISP than what I am with T-Mobile. Amazing speeds, no data caps, and unbeatable price makes this the best ISP in the market.

Just got my Gateway. $40 month with autopay. Guy said I can use it at my garage and then take it to my girlfriend's house at night. Both locations have 5g coverage. This will save me alot of money and if I break up with my girlfriend, I am not fukd paying her internet, tv bill. This is solid gold for me!!!

When you sign up with T-Mobile they tell you what category you’re in so for me I’m covered under the Extended 5G range with excellent 4g coverage

The gateway is missing some functionality if you are a nerd like setting static dhcp addresses, port forwarding, disabling sip ALG, updating DNS server but I’m sure it will eventually come down the pipe.
None the less, it does what they advertised. It is faster than Spectrum, more stable, and cheaper.

T mobile is seriously the leader in wireless phone service plus a bunch of free stuff like you said. It’s amazing.

Just ordered my T-Mobile router after Xfinity has been down since Hurricane Ian here in FL. Can't wait to try it out!

Have had T Mobile for a week now, so far very satisfied with it. I don't get your speeds, more like 250-300 download and 15- 30 upload, but its more than adequate for my use and very happy with it. Was very simple and easy to set up with not one issue. One problem was I'm an existing Sprint account holder waiting to be migrated over to T Mobile. They cannot force a migration at this time and T Mobile doesn't allow the same person to hold more than 1 account. After several phone calls the solution was to use my middle name on the account thus making me a different person. I do give up the bundled pricing that is offered to T Mobile customers. Once I am migrated over, if they still are offering the same package, I can cancel the one and bundle it to my existing account for the $30 per month. So if a existing Sprint customer is having the same issue, there is a way around it.

Yeah I am definitely happy with my T-Mobile Wi-Fi. Honestly it works way better than I ever expected that it was going to. We live in a rural area and up until the last couple of months the only option we had was CenturyLink, so getting this service was a major upgrade and just like you said it's been super reliable for the most part. It will occasionally have moments where it's kind of sketchy and not working that well but it always goes back to working great shortly after those times

I just got the 2 week trial. 2 days now and speed is not constant, it can go from 200mbps to 4mbps. I'm comparing this to my current Verizon FiOS which is more or less constant.

I also switched from Century Link to T Mobile. For 8 days it was great and then it went all south. Speed ran the gamut from .8 to 165 sporadically. I've had it for 2 months and have made 8 calls to support. That resulted in a replacement gateway which performed exactly like the original. Reps all follow the same playbook saying they are going to fix the problem for good. I was on the phone about 40 minutes for each call and within that time frame. speed would improve and like an idiot I thought the rep had finally fixed it. Then the last tech I talked to (American based) fessed up and said it was caused by congestion on the network. The tower I was communicating with had multiple complaints and problems but there were no plans to upgrade it. I thanked her for her honesty and am now looking for a replacement before the start of a new billing cycle.

Got it by a $400 router and my t-Mobile Internet will be working fine

It doesn't make sense if you have to jerry rig it to make it work better....if you have solid 5G service it should work great out of the box. Investing an additional $200-$300 buying additional equipment isn't what most people are willing to do. I have solid 5G service in my area with 200-300 DL and 50+ up I expect delivery of the gateway tomorrow...when I set it up if I don't get those speeds consistently I'm sending it right back....and I wont get it until such a time that they can improve their speeds in my area to achieve it.

Thank you so much for this review. I needed to hear all the things you mentioned as i couldnt find it. Moving to Tucson this week and found out only Cox and Centurylink are available and they are terrible. As i work online and now record and eventual stream games online i think this is definitely the best option especially how im in the strongest 5g signal area for t mobile.

Switched from Spectrum 400mbps - 20mbps. My download speed with T-Mobile peaks at 440mbps and averages 280mbps. However, the nearest tower is roughly only 1000ft away or less. It’s only $30 a month if you have other cellular lines. The dollar per mbps is insane.

Now it's $25/mo for life for new customers with a 15 day free trial (yes you have to call in after the equipment return to the store to get the credit), plus the $100 rebate card after 2 months.

What's the difference between the silver cylindrical modem and the black square one? I have the black square one. Just cosmetic?

I have the TP-Link mesh system which was $200 at Amazon and it works great. However, I’m on Sparklight cable, not T-Mobile Internet. Some things you need to do if you have a WiFi router connected to a T-Mobile hotspot are turn off the WiFi on the hotspot and set the MTU in your router to 1420 instead of 1500. Lowering the MTU to the proper size will prevent your packets from being fragmented as they go from your network to T-Mobile’s network.

Love the 50.00 internet. Had it for 10 months now. Operates better than the spectrum that had for 10 years

It is all about tower locations and tower utilization. If you are in a poor location then your speeds and connection will not be that good and since you get low tower use priority if the tower you use is busy you will have inconsistent results.

If your needs are not that high then by all means give it a try but do not cancel your existing service until you know it works.
