I was there. I took video from one end of the grandstands to the other. It was my first Silver Crown race and first at Springfield. I’m hooked. It was quite an event

Naaahhh... Big car, big speed and big stakes! Just a different way of awesome racing in it's own right. Go to one of the dirt miles!

I sure miss the days when races at this track had quality coverage with multiple camera angles from around the track. Flo Racing has absolutely ruined this (among many other things).

Every year I look forward to watching this event, but I'm always disappointed to see so many empty seats in the grandstands. I don't understand, this is one of two dirt miles left in the world to race on, how are the grandstands not packed? I really love USAC and non wing cars in general, but I feel like the marketing and fanbase is years behind winged racing. If these cars ever come to California, I'll be there in a moment's notice.

I've been watching usac and woo since before I was born, I'm 40, and damn if the silver crown races aren't the most boring ever.
