You can tell when Pearl is around just by the music that plays

I love how at the end of the episode, even though Peridot won, the gems knew that Pearl had much more determination, inner strength, and confidence than Peridot would ever have. Peridot didn't know this. On Homeworld, if you won the battle, you were better because you could fight, you were determined, and you were useful. It shocked Peridot that the servant lost her battle, yet was treated better than the actual winner. However, at the very end Peridot learned that Pearl was actually useful for building the beautiful robot even though that isn't the reason Pearl was treated better. Peridot still didn't know this, which is why in the next episode she made fun of the gems with ease. Amethyst taught her to feel specific emotions and not just rage, fear, happiness, and sadness. She started to feel for others as well as herself which is why she felt "smaller" when she realized she had hurt Amethyst. In her apology she added "I'm still learning", which is adorable because she doesn't get what's going on. She doesn't get why we're all different or how we have our own thoughts. She's used to being under someone's control and it would be hard to just immediately become free after years of having somebody tell you what to do and where to go your whole life. She then felt "big" after realizing that Amethyst was happy. Poor Peri 😢

I love this track so much, it fitted the scene so well, and it has a real...robotic tone, just as it should xD but without being lifeless! Aivi & Surasshu are great! The show honestly wouldn't be the same without them, there couldn't have been a better duo to make the music!
