Kobe Bryant Sought Revenge on Ray Allen: 'Don't Put Me and Him in the Same Sentence'

Kobe - Ray situation became more publicized when Ray Allen was quoted in a 2004 interview criticizing Kobe's style of play. He made comments about Kobe's ball-hogging and how he didn't fit within the team concept. Kobe fired back, and the tension between them escalated. Now it was time for revenge for Bean.

Happy birthday, Kobe Bryant. Thank you for following me on social media before passing. Thank you for following my work, I still remember sending you a huge collection of Hakeem Olajuwon footwork highlight tape. Forever Kobe.

I wanted to share this video on Kobe's B'Day. To my subscribers.

Man, Kobe was just so different. The game will never be the same without him.
Allen was good, but no way he was ever going to stop Kobe. No one could do that

Can (the real Kobe fans) we just sit back and appreciate all that fuel Ray gave to our guy?
Kobe feeds off from hate.

As most have already said. Yes, it may have been spot on but it wasn't Allen's place to speak on. The media + Shaq and the countless KB8 haters had beaten that horse to death. At this point Allen should've been more concerned with getting the subpar teams he played for IN the playoffs. Which he hadn't done in Seattle and barely excelled at in Milwaukee.

You forgot to mention that Ray was 100% right on his comments in 2004, a frustrated Kobe asked the Lakers to trade him in 2007 to the Bulls tired of not winning anything as Allen predicted, and that was the season, the 2007-08, when Ray got his 1st ring in Boston, but instead the Lakers refused to trade him and improved the roster getting Pau from Memphis in February 2008 to calm him down, and that's what made Kobe reach the Finals and get 2 more rings in a row, the first in the 08-09 season against Orlando in the finals, who won against the Celtics in the 2nd round in 7 games, and the second one now against Allen's Celtics the next year in the 09-10 season, not in 2008 as you said. Yeah, Ray wasn't probably as good or accomplished as Kobe, but he was right af

Hey man, I remember this rivalry. These guys used to GO AT IT.

I'm glad they amended their relationship because they both were too great, but damn did it make for some entertaining basketball.

That's the problem with today's NBA. Everyone wants to be friends & do podcasts together 😒

I have never heard this Allen Bryant comparison till this video, I have never heard anyone compare Ray to Kobe in my life.

If Allen didn't say those comments, Kobe would've had to invent them and believe that he had. He was like Jordan that way. Committed to the cause all the way till the wheels come off. Kobe is more than a person. He's a mantra, a lifestyle, a mindset, a philosophy, spiritual grounding, religion, cult of personality, belief system, way of life. He is a movement and a cause, force of nature and force to be reckoned with while always puttin' on a tour de force. Kobe is the light. Some people think he got a God complex, but Kobe forgives them.
