When Kobe gave him the congrats and Curry didn’t smile lol that’s when Kobe thought “oh this my guy right here” lol bet he loved that demeanor

These were the days when Curry practiced so hard to swish the ball so that he wouldn't have to hear the terrible clanging of the rims.

This speaks to how great Kobe was, he had no problem wanting to guard the best player. RIP Legend

Kobe wins 4th title and 1st finals MVP after 13 seasons...Steph wins 4th title and 1st finals MVP after 13 seasons. Wow.

For anyone thinking that Steph couldn't do this in Jordan's era. He can score on anyone! There's no stopping Stephen Curry. He is a top 10 for real!

You see how locked in Steph is. Kobe is smiling and patting him on the butt after making a tough contested shot and Steph doesn’t even look at him! Greatness.

Curry is the kind of player where even if you are not a basketball fan, you want to watch him play because you know you are witnessing greatness. maybe its just the youtube algorithm but damn am I sold!

I was never a Kobe fan growing up, but this was still a cool moment. Even 2.5 years later it still doesn't feel real that he's gone.

Kobe cussed out the whole team after that. He never been beat by that deficit

The moment Kobe slapped that kid he bullied, he knew he was gonna win it all the next year and became a legend. RESPECT

What Kobe said at the very start about Curry always being present is spot on. Curry is that rare player who can operate without much emotion, BUT can also elevate his game with emotion.

I watched almost every game Kobe ever played. He was misunderstood. Once you realize he loved and respected the game of basketball above all else, a lot of his demeanor begins to make sense. If you had a passion for the game and was willing to put in work to reach your full potential, you were his tribe. To Kobe, not playing hard was disrespectful to the game. Teammate or opponent, if you gave it your all he respected you as a competitor. If you were lazy he didn't have time for you. Laser focus. Either give your best or gtfo. No in between.

Dang you should've added the clip where Lou Williams was talking about Kobe trying to figure out how to guard Steph and yelling "I got it! He doesn't like when you stand on the side of him." That would've definitely tied everything together perfectly for the vid.

As somebody obsessed with hard work and perfecting your craft, he recognized that in Curry and passed respect 👍

Steph could have played in any era of the NBA and done just as well as is does now, his speed and outside shooting ability are second to no one who has played the game. His game isnt a muscular physical game but his speed and ability to score outside anywhere on the court is unmatched at any era.

Takes some balls to get that shot off since Kobe made guarding him a personal matter. Loved it
