All 6 Stephen Curry Fouls in Game 6 of the 2016 NBA Finals (Rigged?)
Edited by Diran Lyons

After Stephen Curry's 6th foul in Game 6, his wife, Ayesha Curry, tweeted: "I've lost all respect sorry this is absolutely rigged for money... Or ratings in [sic] not sure which. I won't be silent . Just saw it live sry [sic]." The tweet quickly vanished.

For anyone interested in reviewing the 6 fouls, this video compiles all the live footage and replays with carefully placed commentary by the announcers.

Stephen Curry doesn't have to worry about 2016 anymore since the Dubs won the 2017 NBA title defeating the team that took it from them in the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Now that this has died down a bit, here's the main issue. The problem isn't that Curry fouled out (because any bball player could), it's the inconsistency in officiating. Curry racked up numerous fouls (a lot of them being extremely questionable) YET when he was being grabbed up and held illegally the refs turned a blind eye in every game of the series. I know some of y'all will say it's the playoffs and it's physical.. I get that. There's a clear difference between being physical and fouling someone constantly

3:08, anyone else catch LeBron purposely leaning forward and pushing Curry with his right arm? Refs truly are the Finals MVP of this series

The inconsistency in foul calling is what makes basketball unwatchable for me. These fouls are pussified crap. Makes the game look like it's played by femboys.

Hey man I don't play basketball but I don't understand how you can foul a guy for getting trampled over.

Story of the series. Once the Cavs won game 5, the refs and the NBA made a conservative effort to make this series go 7 games. It was was rigged from the beginning

I have never seen a 2 time MVP get less respect from officials than Curry. The last 3 fouls were all ridiculous.

How I see things:

The 1st is certainly a foul.

The 2nd isn't as clear. LeBron dipped his shoulder and barreled into him.
Curry looked pretty set. Maybe not.

The 3rd is a foul. Jabbed Kyrie.

The 4th is really incidental contact. I wouldn't have been surprised if
the refs didn't call that one.

The 5th could go either way as well. The announcers were pretty
surprised.

The 6th was definitely not a foul in my opinion. I can see why Curry was
so angry. That forces the Warriors to go the last 4 minutes of the game
without their best player... When he hadn't fouled out since 2013...

I've been rooting for the Cavs the whole series.

Hey Cavs fans. This game was rigged whether you like it or not. Coming from a Rockets fan.

Most of these calls were completely bogus especially the last one. Lebron leans on Steph's back yet Steph gets called for a foul? Makes a whole lot of sense...

They say the MVP usually gets favourable calls...This game makes you seriously think about that statement lol. Would this have happened to LBJ. Would he ever have been fouled out of a game 6 for these fouls? Hopefully this year is better refereed than the last...please just let them play.

5th and 6th fouls were not fouls.. cavs just flops.. irving and lebron should be fined for flopping..

This makes me lowkey happy that GSW got KD next year and made Cavs life a literal hell. Serves them and the league right for rigging the finals

First foul: Yes, it was intentional foul on Thompson
Second foul: No. Lebron lowers shoulder and swings it, throwing Curry off balance
Third: Yes. That was a foul on Kyrie.
Fourth: Yes. That was a foul on Kevin Love
Fifth: No. This was not a foul. Clear strip of the ball but because Kyrie fell down, ref probably thought Curry tripped him
Sixth: No. Lebron lowed his elbow on Curry's back. Should have been a no call, as it happens on the back of Curry.

Really bad officiating. This could also happen on Game 7 against Cavs.

Everybody knows the 5th and 6th fouls were not even on curry. And if people think those are, they just have a natural hate for the Warriors. Simple.

People commenting here with their opinions of whether these are fouls or not. They're forgetting to judge the calls based on the standard used throughout the game by the refs. They let much bigger fouls go uncalled, which is where the (justified) complaints by GS are coming from. The refs had one standard of fouling for Curry and another for the rest of the players.

Some of these fouls barely had any contact in them, if any. Some of them weren't fouls at all. Yet they called them. Like coach Kerr said, calling these ticky tack fouls while ignoring the bigger ones is the issue.
