If it is anything like it is in Lubbock, the problems with the roadways are compounded by an utter failure, on the part of drivers, to recognize and adjust to conditions. Almost every accident I saw in Lubbock yesterday and this morning appeared to be caused by people thinking that they could drive at the speed limit on ice.

I lived in Texas for 50 years, and in that time I've seen drivers go from decent to very bad. Tailgating, speeding, weaving in and out of traffic with wreckless abandon...all of which contributed to this pile up...there is no doubt about that. I'm glad we sold our home and moved out. Good riddance 😒
