What's happening has opened my daughter's eyes to the real evil, the real hate. Her best friend of many years is Jewish (from Israel) & she's had to learn that you absolutely cannot be okay with the "other side" when the other side is dead wrong. It was sort of wishy washy with Trump & Biden & pronouns etc, & she didn't really understand "why we care" what others think. She gets it now. She has staunchly unfriended & denounced those who are not defending Jews, and is seeing right/wrong in a new light. Teach your kids that this sh* is EVIL.

The Republican party has steadfastly stood by Israel through good times and bad. And yet, Jewish Americans vote overwhelmingly for Democrats. This crisis has exposed the hatred and literal antisemitism in the party. It will be interesting to see if this will changes anything in the 2024 elections. I’m not holding my breath.
