I’m glad
I came across your page. How are you feeling now?
I have multiple sclerosis and
I have fallen soooo many times over 15yrs
I kept telling the doctors that
I believe I need hip replacement but no, they kept telling me Oh it’s just your MS
Not putting in consideration that
I have hit the ground over 20 times🤷🏽‍♀️ that now
I need a replacement
I am so freaking upset that I did not fight for this years ago. We have to be our own healthcare advocate because nobody knows how you feel but YOU 🧡🧡🧡

Wow! You have had a lot done! I’m 72, today is Oct.22, 2024 and I am 1 week and 4 days post op for left hip replacement. My leg swelling causes me the most discomfort 😢. Your advice is much appreciated. Joy S from Northern Indiana

Just 2 days post op on my right hip. I’m finding it harder than I expected. Getting into and out of bed is hard. Already had an embarrassing unable to make it to the bathroom moment… sigh. I’m glad I’m not alone and that it’s normal to be in this kinda pain

The leg length discrepancy completely resonates with me. I still feel like my knee replacement leg is longer than my other leg. I feel like it’s throwing my gait off. I think it may be due to the ongoing swelling as well, but worn cartilage pre surgery makes sense too. I don’t know how you do it! You’re very brave and courageous! I’m feeling like this whole process is affecting my body, and I’m scared, I’m sore everywhere. I’m so glad you’re sharing your experiences, it makes me and others feel less alone. Keep doing the good work.

Lisa, so good to watch this video and I'm feeling proud of you for your positive attitude after your 2nd hip replacement. You'll inspire me with going through my upcoming knee replacement on Sept. 19. All the best!

I spoke to you a couple of months ago, had exactly the same as you, left knee replacement last october and sudden pain in my right hip this march, going in for the op on 5th september, have to have it as I'm pretty much in constant pain despite taking strong pain killers, would of avoided it if I could but cant, you give inspiration to so many people, wish you a speedy recovery

I need bilateral total hip replacement and having both at the same time. I have put it off for one year at this point. At first I was scared of the procedure and now I'm scared of the recovery. No date yet, likely by the holidays. Thank you for sharing your progress.

Hi Lisa, happy to see your update 1 week later ❤ think your instinct to get the other hip replacement done & out of the way was correct. I bet most folks wonder the first few days what they've done, I did with my first knee 🤦‍♀️, your guidance throughout most helpful!
Praying all continues to heal well for you and before long you are teaching your classes again 🧘‍♀️!

Hi Lisa, I’m a yogi in the Boston area. 1 week post op anterior hip. It’s surely been a challenging week for me. It was really helpful to find your journey. Thank you for sharing. My pain has not been to bad but sleeping has been a challenge. I also “sundown” after dinner and get winey and teary - not my normal self.
I’m wondering what kind of yoga you are able to do. I’m doing restorative but mostly laying - breathing - listening. It does seem to help with my mental spirits. But I miss my yoga so much after 20 years of practice. I’d love to hear from other post op yogis too.

Appreciated this video so much! I had my left hip replaced 7 weeks ago and am having my right one done in 5 weeks. I’m a little concerned because I still have a bit of pain in my new hip….I see my doctor in 10 days.

Hey there....I'm 31 days post-op right hip and feeling pretty good. I'm a little surprised your surgeon agreed to replace the left side so soon. Personally I'm going to wait at least 6-mo. before I do the other side...posterior btw. I wish you luck.

Just curious as to why you didn’t have the anterior approach done. I had my left hip done 3 1/2 months ago anterior after six weeks I felt pretty amazing at 3 1/2 months sometimes I barely remember I had it done.
