ASU students suspended over protest arrests lose court motion

A U.S. District judge denied a motion Friday for a preliminary injunction to lift the suspension for 20 Arizona State University students who were arrested for trespassing during Pro-Palestine protests last week at the campus. The decision solely focused on whether a preliminary injunction, or temporary restraining order would be granted, it did not address the trespassing charges. The lawsuit was filed against the Arizona Board of Regents in federal court on Tuesday, accusing ASU of violating students' free speech rights and retaliating against students who attended the protest.

They must be expelled without any possibility of reinstating.

The judge upheld the university's decision. It's probably the first time these 12 students were ever told No or held accountable for their actions

Great for ASU. Hope they don't back down. Actions should have repercussions.👏👏

Violence and rioting is not peaceful protesting.

Those idiots didn't care about all of the graduations being canceled all over the country or the other students who couldn't get to the classes and finals they paid for. I was disgusted by the garbage and damage they left behind from their temper tantrum. Accountability won the day.

Taking over a college and destroying property, expulsion and fines. Learning that actions have consequences, priceless.

Wait... so you skipped classes, destroyed school property, broke school rules, and assumed that you would be allowed back on campus to finish classes??? This is not protest... this is narcissisitic entitlement.

Just wait until they are convicted and these arrests become part of their record. No employer is going to want to hire them or pay them any kind of decent wage.
