Also the reason you hear noises other than the monster are special entities you encounter when you enter secret rooms. If you found one, interact with it to "collect it". when you get 3 of the same entities, you get a mini version of it as a pet.

before you say no hide, you actually stay crouched in lockers. Even though this seems easy, a-120 will be difficult especially in that bridge room.

I have played the game and it is frustrating. Even though there are many signs of it coming, it is faster than you, so you gotta go in a small space or color wall you got. When you die, the puzzle starts all over, but you don't lose your paintbrush progress.
