Used to watch the ghost and mrs muir in daily syndicated reruns as a kid in the 1970s. Then, for reasons I don't know, they removed it from the airwaves, never to be seen again, at least in the area where I lived. As a result, I dont remember Ghost and Mrs Muir episodes the way I have memorized the episodes of other classic tv shows. But the opening theme of ghost and mrs. muir has remained in my memory all these years.

Fast forward a few decades. I'm doing some aimless surfing on youtube when i run across full episodes of this show posted there. I begin to watch one and the instant the opening theme played, i was flooded and overwhelmed with fond, nostalgic memories of myself as a kid, sitting in front of the living room tv (the only tv we had in our place, unlike today where its now the norm to have a tv in almost every room), watching my favorite classic tv shows, movies and cartoons.

I remember gathering with my siblings to watch this show....we would cluster around our television, and our mom would bring out snacks and "Dads Root beer"....it was part of our family.

Edward Mulhare was my granny's cousin (from cork, Ireland). Born in the 1980's I grew up with knightrider - hoping to one day meet him when I was old enough to travel to the US. But unfortunately he passed away before I got the chance. So now I look up his older tv shows on occasion .... it's so nice that people enjoyed his work :) I hope he was a nice person. x

I also listen to the music mix from the romance between the Ghost and Mrs Muir. I watch the shows and music mix every day and night on and off. The Captain is so so so handsome. I wish I had this romance with my husband. So please don’t ever take this show away from me please. I watch this music mix on my UTube and this show. Thanks.

Two years ago the complete seasons 1 and 2 were on here. I watched all 50 episodes. They are gone now. Sad.

I haven't seen this show since i was a child. I worked with Edward Mulhare's sister and his niece. After his death he was buried back in Saint Joseph's Cemetery in his home town Cork, City, Ireland where I'm from. My own father and his Siblings are buried there also. R.I.P. to all ❤

One of the better 'mystical' shows from the era. Based on the movie from the 40's, this premiere episode really nails it on all points. The story, suspense, humor, superb acting and the terrific music of Dave Grusin make it a great intro to the series. Interesting that it premiered on NBC for its first season and ABC picked it up for season 2 after NBC canceled it. Some terrific stories and a fun watch.
