Are you saying, "2B is not 2B?" ;-)

This is a topic dear to my heart. I have triangular grip pencils all over my piano, music stands, on my desk, and in my travel bag since most people won't walk off with them. Such a small but delightful thing when your reach for a pencil and it's not rolling off onto the floor.

That sharpener is what I call a " Made on Earth" product...assembled somewhere on the planet from parts elsewhere on the planet.

I seem to remember sometime back in 70's using triangle pens with shredded dollar bills in the casing. Does that jog anyones memory??
Fran thank you so very much for all your content. Im sure we don' t realize all the work that goes into these videos. A video about pencils might seem mundane to some but many of us fund it fasinateing.
Please know, many people are being educated here. When it seems like no one is paying attention . Actually you are a blessing to many many people across the world
Thank you

Nice pencils, my girlfriend has a few she uses for drawing. I like the touchyfeeliness of those bumps :)

The blade may be made in Germany, and the whole sharpener may be assembled in Germany - while the sharpener's body would be imported from China.

The Always Analog channel has dozens upon dozens of pencil and eraser comparisons and reviews.

When I was at Canoe U. (yes, before laptops) calculus and physics classes/homework (née, dormwork) often required hours with pencil in hand. I was actually getting hand cramps often. A lady professor noticed and gave me a few silicone sleeves that turned a round/hex pencil into a triangle... and a bit larger. It really helped. I still use them today. I like and appreciate triangle over traditional pencil shapes. When you (I) hold a pencil between your middle, forefinger and thumb, they do create a triangular clamping arrangement, so it makes sense.

And, here is the genius of your unique content. This 10 minute video felt like it flew by in 2! LOL! This is, by far, my most favorite ‘distraction’ channel! 👍🍸🥃

Dixon makes a triangular version of their classic Ticonderoga pencil, called the Tri-conderoga. Not my personal favorite, but they were popular with customers so I kept them in stock.

Reminds me of the triangular rubber grips for round pencils.

I use Staedtler triangle colored pencils with the added bonus of being able to draw on black paper. On the topic of paper I'm sure Fran has opinions but I haven't found any so far searching around.

I don't like the dots, to me they're like having a piece of grit in the way.
More pen and pencil videos!

The sharpener could not really be anything else than round, other wise you could not rotate the pencil. I think you would naturally get the rounded, triangular shape if you used the round sharpener.

Ive never seen a triangular pencil, but I do think that it could be easier to hold. I used to have triangular pens around when I worked Master Control at a TV station, where there was a slightly inclined control "board" that I worked in front of. If I had a round pen, when I tossed it down to grab a tape, the pen would just roll away and land on the floor. But not so for a triangular pen, . BTW, the earaser being made in Mallayzia makes sense; locally scourrced india rubber or volcanic ash(pumace) which is often used for earasers; The former for lead, and the latter for ink usually. BTW, how about a video on fountain pens, both old and new types :)
