I just started on this journey. I have been riding for a few months and the more time I spent with my instructor I just felt that she was way too non chalant. She never really had a plan, I had to remind her what we were doung. I had like 3 different saddles and two where youth, I am not a youth person nor am I as small as a youth. The horse I was riding was 24 and I just felt that he did not want to work anymore. I finally stopped going there. I only got to just start posting trot on a lunge. So now I'm exploring another ranch and it is western style. I was doing english. I will see what it's like. I'm not sure which one I will choose.

Is it normal for horse lesson instructors to be flakey? The first lesson instructor I had moved, 2nd one was gonna get me hurt because she simply did not care what I did. 3rd one just left out of nowhere. Is it normal for it to take a while before you find a good instructor or is it just always like this?
