ABOUT ME: Hallo, Servus, and welcome to my channel! My name is Felicia (Feli), I'm 27, and I'm a German living in the USA! I was born and raised in Munich, Germany but have been living in Cincinnati, Ohio off and on since 2016. I first came here for an exchange semester during my undergrad at LMU Munich, then I returned for an internship, and then I got my master's degree in Cincinnati. I was lucky enough to win the Green Card lottery and have been a permanent resident since 2019! In my videos, I talk about cultural differences between America and Germany, things I like and dislike about living here, and other experiences that I have made during my time in the States. Let me know what YOU would like to hear about in the comments below. DANKE :)

I sell beer for my work and I sell a lot of import brands, including a bunch of the brands you featured. It was really fun to hear authentic pronunciation of brands that I work with everyday. I’m definitely sharing with my team!

One of the few videos that is actually conveying correct information about Germany and German beers. As someone who is also from Munich, I can tell you that everything presented here is spot on. So sad we don't have a Oktoberfest again this year

I can't get over how good her American accent is! And how smooth she transfers between accents.

Been learning German for about half a year, happy to know I’ve been pronouncing German beers with their correct pronunciation 🙂

I’m not a big beer drinker, but I have been a beer can collector for decades. I have a fair number of cans from the 1950s-1970s. In my first trip to Germany to visit my grandmother, I picked up some Gold-Ochsen Pils in Ulm while my grandfather repaired their bottling machine. I got a tour of their brewery.

Thank you for producing this. I was stationed in Germany when I was in the Army. I am very embarrassed in how badly I have been mispronouncing theses names all these years. 😮

Your reference to it as "Italienerwochenende" rang so true! Walking to the fest, a few Italians asked us how to get to "Kapuzinerstraße", which totally came out as "Cappuccino-straße" 😄 I miss those days of living in Germany.

In the 70's and 80's Löwenbrau was a beer sold in America and brewed by Miller! They used a much different recipe than the Löwenbrau in Germany. Who remembers Löwenbrau song? Here's to good friends! Tonight is kind of special!

Hefeweizen is one of my favorite beers, was introduced to it a few years back...straight out of a keg.
Found that I get a little sick from some added preservatives/chemicals and ingredients in certain beer, and Bavarian beer usually doesn't have those. Danke, for the purity laws, Germany.
Saved me from many future head or stomaches aches lol.
Love watching these videos, going to be very helpful when travelling to Germany. I am very familiar with German auto and technology brands (and wording) as the only German car technician/mechanic where I live.
However I have always dreamed of seeing the trees and lakes, old style architecture, and visiting Porsche's and Audi's automotive museums.
Maybe a flight museum so I can see the airplanes that old original Mercedes and BMW engines were made for. Many of my favorite bands and artists even enjoy touring Germany any time they go. Definitely looking forward to it, hopefully in the near future

As a Dutchman and fellow neighbour of Germany. We have quite the luxury to have some of these brands in our local supermarkets. My absolute favorite is Franziskaner. It just glides through your throat with ease and the taste is the most outstanding in my opinion. Love German, as well as Belgian beers.

First thought at Hallo: It's light switching on a light. You are so bright, so lucid, it's always a pleasure to hear you tell about two very interesting languages and countries. Just your good pronunciation is interesting. But also your body language is simply lovely. You are so energetic and vivid. I'm quite a bit out of words, because I really want to show appreciation for something I can't quite put my finger on; maybe I'm just old and getting slow? No, you are definately something else. Good on you, and may your road be - something wonderful!

Outstanding. My name is Uptegrove (originally Op Den Graeff). My mother, a Wulfert, was raised by her maternal grandparents the Trippensee's. I'm in my mid 60's and just getting into this German heritage. My family tree runs back to both Kleve (Cleve) and Krefeld up in the North Rhine Westphalia area, and my family was one of the original 13 families which arrived via the CONCORD to set up Germantown, now known as Philadelphia. I've subscribed to your channel and hope to learn more about everything you have to teach. Thanks for being so helpful.

“Prosit” is Latin for “may it benefit you.”

When I was stationed in Schweinfurt back in the late 80's my favorite bier was a Kristall Weissbier (although I no longer remember who made it). However, recently at our local grocery store, they have started stocking Weihenstephaner Kristall Weissbier and it really brought back memories. Thanks for the videos, I loved my tour back then and to hear you talk about Bavaria, helps to bring back good memories.

I visited Europe in the late 90's and enjoyed German biers exclusively while there.
You would make a wunderbar Deutsche lehrer in the US.
I took classes in the early 80's and these videos are a nice refresher course.
Danke, Felicia. Prost!

I am sitting here strongly focusing on these German beer pronunciations when I realized that probably even in a good German restuarant here in the US that if I pronounced them correctly that the server would say "what"...LOL But I do enjoy learning a bit if German abd correct pronunciation.

This week, I found Paulaner Lager & Paulaner Weizenbier Dunkel. I generally don't like wheat beers, but that dark wheat was the best wheat beer I have ever tasted.
