Hi Dylan! Have you ever considered making a video on how to make reusable drop zone templates yourself? I often have the same type of things I want to do (e.g. showing a comparison between two photos). Right now this is such a pain-in-the-butt to do, as I resize and crop the photos manually, position, and then copy their attributes and what not. A custom drop zone would make this basically instant!

Great video. How do I duplicate drop zones? I'm using a slideshow template from Motion Array that has 12 drop zones in the inspector on the right. I want to add additional images but I don't want the same images to repeat. If I extend the timeline it is still only using the original 12 images. How do I extend the template to use more than 12 images?

My problem with drop zones 😭… is always when I want the selected source to be played exactly from the beginning. From the first frame. I try to click on the source at the very beginning in Media Browser or in the Time Line as a Compound Clip. Nevertheless, this is never at the very beginning. It always starts from the second or fifth frame. Is there a better solution?

Is it possible to somehow insert the source so that it is played 100% from the very beginning? Double-clicking does not work. Maybe a shortcut with snapping activation that I can click 100 percent at the very beginning of the source?

I realized not long ago that the drop zones do not take audio. It's logical I think but it's a bit disruptive and you have to be careful about the type of project you choose if you want to have a theme for final cut based on a title, generators and or effect.

I have several plug ins that allow drop zones but every time I use a video, it only allows my raw videos with out color or Luts bc I have to select from my favorites clips or bin where there is no color on the clips yet_ If I select a video clip from my time line that has color and has been slowed down, it makes it a snap shot and not video with movement_ What the heck am I doing wrong? Happens with all my plugins, if I make a compound clip that has color and slow motion added and then choose that from my bin, It also makes it a freeze Fram picture instead of video? How do we use graded and slowed down videos in the drop zone? Thanks, it is driving me crazy..

Most of my drop zones still give me a freeze frame when choosing from a compound clip on the time line or if choosing from my "bin" where the compound clips are also placed, if I choose a raw ungraded clip from my bins, it works but there is no way of color grading that clip or slowing it down???? What am I missing here? I would appreciate any suggestions, bc it makes no sense you can only choose un graded original clips from the bins...???mStories 2 is a perfect example, If I choose a raw video clip it works, if I choose from the timeline it makes a freeze Fram.. same as if I choose from the compound clip either in the timeline or the bin... This is really really frustrating.. Who wants to just be able to choose a raw video clip with out color or speed change and who is going to export and import all their clips slowed down and with color done just to be able to use them?? Please help FCP Bro
