This has same feeling of disappointment of 99% completing a game, and then as soon as you begin the last possible misson, your whole save file becomes corrupted, and the only possible solution is starting a NEW save.

The same thing happened to me, but right after I got the cape. I fortunately got the cape but all the progress got deleted. I messaged Noxcrew and Mojang about this and said the same thing as they said to you. Also you are able to get your progress back if you connect via vpn to Ireland for some reason (I connected to all the locations on my vpn to know this I was desperate)

I encountered a similar problem so I did it three times, each on a different account. Fortunately after the event everything was restored and I got it on all 3 accounts.

I've done all the quests but never got the cape. I didn't even have the chance to reset

Dang that sucks, I have this cape myself, and I knew getting it was worth the pain and bordem, but I just checked namemc and saw, only 10K PLAYERS have this cape, LIKE HOLY, it is as rare as the minecon caps, it was def worth the pain in the end.

I had to do it 3 times 💀every time I would get to the final cave riddle, it would just reset... The final time, I actually started off with the cave riddles and everything went alright this time :)

I understand how you feel, sort of. Because my account got hacked on the day I was gonna claim my mcc cape by doing the last challenge and now my opportunity's gone. 😞
