I went to the Australian Grand Prix that year. There were some guys sitting near us who went to the nearest Kmart, bought a bunch of cheap white polos, a permanent marker and a fluro yellow highlighter and made their own Brawn shirts.

Ross Brawn was an absolute titan of the sport and received not enough praise after retirement from F1. So glad we are shining the spotlight on this amazing feat of engineering and willpower. I just read this book called "The Formula" and it talked about this story. F1 has so many interesting stories throughout its history that it's no wonder it got so much more popular the moment they started opening their doors and making the sport more accessible to the world

Brawn was WIlliam's second ever employee. He was behind the all conquering 1996-2006 Ferrari era. And he lifted Honda to race and later become the most dominant team in History. Everyone likes a Cinderella story, and the tale of a team sawing their chassis to race with a engine not designed for the chassis, buying the team with 1 Pound, racing with no sponsors, and still Champions. Can't wait to see this documentary.
