Quick Fix for Frozen Hoses, Pipes, and Water Valves

A customer was unable to open frozen water valves and unscrew water hoses due to ice inside. We showed a simple way to melt the ice. This fix also works on pipes if you expose enough of the frozen pipe to hot water. Fill a flexible hot water bottle or two and wrap around a frozen pipe. Use string or nylon ties to hold bottles in place until ice is melted.
