Here are the 10 LEAST Satisfying Cars of 2024 according to Consumer Reports. Starting with…

10. Nissan Altima

The Nissan Altima takes the number 10 spot on the list. It’s an entry-level sedan with a failing grade in value according to buyers. Even at a starting MSRP of $27,500, buyers don’t feel like they’re getting much out of their rides. While the reported 39 mpg on the highway is a plus, the CVT diminishes the driving experience. Less than HALF of buyers would buy another Altima, placing it in the bottom 10% of all makes and models.

To be fair, do they regret the car or just how they drive it? Sorry, couldn’t resist a jab at your standard Altima driver.

9. Volkswagen Jetta

German Engineering, efficiency, and an economical price point should make the Jetta a winner, but it falls short. While it performs well in road tests, owner satisfaction is low due to concerns about long-term reliability and resale value. Many buyers find spending a bit more on a Honda Civic or Mazda 3 offers better value.

8. Mercedes Benz C-Class

Mercedes Benz, known for luxury, surprisingly lands on this list with the C-Class. Despite its luxurious interior, the latest UI overhaul complicates basic functions. With a spongy brake pedal, long stopping distances, and low reliability ratings, only 46% of surveyed buyers would consider another C-Class.

7. Kia Sorento Hybrid

The Kia Sorento Hybrid promises fuel efficiency but disappoints with ride refinement and interior quality. Hesitation in acceleration and powertrain issues lead to frustration. Predicted owner satisfaction is low, with a rating of one out of five.

6. Infiniti QX50

The Infiniti QX50 faces complaints about poor fuel economy, infotainment frustrations, and CVT behavior. It handles poorly and is less quick compared to its competition. Only a quarter of QX50 buyers would purchase one again, making it one of the least satisfying luxury crossovers.

5. Volkswagen Taos

The Volkswagen Taos suffers from uneven power delivery and sudden bursts of acceleration, making it difficult to drive smoothly. An 18/100 score in predicted reliability further deters buyers.

4. Kia Seltos

The Kia Seltos offers decent handling and a comfortable interior but suffers from a stiff ride and noisy cabin. It scores poorly in predicted owner satisfaction due to its harsh ride quality.

3. Nissan Kicks

The Nissan Kicks has cramped quarters, a cheap interior, and a powerless engine. It's one of Consumer Reports' lowest-rated vehicles year after year.

2. Kia Forte

The Kia Forte is a modest compact sedan with an uncomfortable interior and poor performance. It consistently ranks among Consumer Reports' least recommended vehicles.

1. Nissan Sentra

The Nissan Sentra, despite recent improvements, still lands in the bottom due to low owner satisfaction. It suffers from light power and a lackluster CVT.

Nissan is probably the biggest disappointment. I used to own Maxima about 15 years ago, and it was one of the best cars I've ever owned . However, in the last 10-11 years, Nissan has been producing unreliable cars.

I really like my 2019 Jetta. It hasn't caused any problems for me so far. I heard the Mk.6 had some issues but so far I havn't heard about any issues with the Mk.7

I’m 29 and I refuse to get a new car. I’m restoring my daily I bought outright back in November. An 03 Volvo s80 and it rides smoother than most of my friends new cars. No car payments and I can work on most of it myself 💯

I gave up on Consumer Reports back in the 70's when they had driving problems with the Omni/ Horizon cars from Chrysler. NO other media could get these cars to do what CR said they did. No accountability.

I have a 2019 Jetta. It has been the most reliable and the best car I have ever owned with excellent gas mileage. The only caveat is that the maintenance, when done properly, is not cheap.

I see Nissan’s all over the road, not on the side of the road. CR just doesn’t like the brand. They love Toyota because they’ve gone to banger turbos, that do help with gas mileage and have numerous hybrid options.

I have a 2020 Jetta that I bought new and have had zero problems with. I love the gas mileage and the overall build quality!

Nissan is one of the best selling cars here in Florida. Why is that? I don't get it.

Wow that was the most Japanese brands I’ve ever seen on the worst list. Why wasn’t dodge on there?

That is because the Altima is a cheap car, like the Sentra is a 8k car. The Altima should be a sub $20k car.

How did anyone have high expectations for an Altima?
