Using layers in your Word document can take you a long way when it comes to designing an event invitation or professional looking document. Here’s a quick video on how to add text on top of your images in Word.

1. Insert an image you’d like to use.
2. Select the image.
3. An icon will appear in the top right called Layout Options. Select Behind Text.
4. You can now type on top of your text and also move around the image.

Thank you so much! In a very short period of time you made this so easy to do. For those that might have a different look on their computers, all you really have to do is listen to your key words and try a few things. It worked out beautifully for me.

You are great! I knew I could add text to a picture in word, but had not done it so long, I forgot how. Thank you for a quick reminder, really appreciated it💯

Can you stick the text to the image so they move together as one. I want to transfer the entire image and text to another document? Thanks in advance.
