Shame there is no mention of oxalates in some leafy greens, that can actually prevent calcium absorption. A lot in spinach, even a lttle in kale. I’ve read that steaming them or cooking in water for a short period pf time takes out most of the oxalate. It ends up in the water so don’t use that. Some frozen spinach is blanched before freezing. I’m hoping that is enough.

Again, conflicting information on diet for osteoporosis. Where are the proven studies on dairy being good for osteoporosis? Please provide them. Spinach has calcium but that doesn’t mean it’s good for osteoporosis. Organic dairy of any kind is best. Agree on the leafy greens being brought to the forefront. Weight bearing exercise (lots) and optimizing nutrients like Vit D3, C, k2, magnesium, boron, phosphorous, silica, B vitamins to get started.

I am very surprised she didn’t mention the fact that carbonated beverages ie soda
leach calcium from the bones

Oh guys - same old, same old! If so many people are stricken with osteoporosis, isn’t it time to see what’s new in science? Dairy! Countries that consume the most dairy have the highest incidence of osteoporosis.

Loving the dark leafy greens and chick peas. The dairy is not for me. Does more harm than good.

Yes but what about the fact that the countries where the highest level of dairy food is eaten are the places with the highest levels of osteoporosis? And that is a fact.

You need to add mk7 so calcium goes to bones not veins and arteries

Spinach is high in oxalates, which is supposed to be bad for osteoporosis.. does cooking it change the properties then. I would really like to have this explained to me.

Keto has been shown to be unhealthy in numerous studies, especially without doctor supervision. The Agoge diet was the only diet that helped me get rid of that stubborn fat without abuseing my body.

No one ever talks about food prep to get the most nutrition out of the foods they
recommend. Should the veggies be "only" eaten raw or cooked?

She never mentions Collagen. This is old teaching. Bones are made of protein, collagen and a small amount of calcium.

Was hoping to get some good diet tips but this video was very disappointing . I was with her at first until she started pushing the milk, cheese, etc. Dairy is very acidic and NOT good for the bones. Almonds are another good “bone-healthy” source that could have been included. If this woman is a dietitian, I wouldn’t go to her
