This method WAS actually used in Ancient Asia. there are various temples And Monastery made with this method. This is know as tenon and mortise method.

I would still use morter. How do you design around windows? Custom "visions"? Are they capable of good insulation? Do they pass a hurricane test? How about deterioration rate? Is it similar to bricks, concrete, stone? Can you still hang siding?

Dude that is the oldest method of building There were many of these methods out there but quite different It's called interlocking system because I have seen Indian temples built this way
