How To Install A Doulton® HCS Water Filter | Doulton® Water Filters
Показать описание
The Doulton® HCS water filter has a stainless steel body and chrome plated brass base. It is very simple to install and fits to most common threaded mixer taps via a diverter valve. Our HCS filter system is a drinking water system, designed to be free-standing on a sink unit or adjacent worktop.
Connecting pipework and fittings:
1. Screw the diverter value ⁄ onto the cold tap or mixer tap if a male thread is visible. If not, an approved adapter will be required to convert the relevant thread.
Fitting the ceramic filter element:
1. Unscrew the filter body from the filter head.
2. Remove the ceramic filter element from its protective packaging.
3. Place the black sealing washer over the filter element mount stem and screw the thread into the filter head until washer resistance is felt - do not over tighten.
4. Refit the filter body to the filter head and screw down to tighten - hand-tighten only.
Conditioning the ceramic filter element:
1. The filter system is now ready for filling with water. To avoid any problems caused by air-locks in the filter housing, the unit should be held upside-down in the sink.
2. Turn on the cold tap partially and then turn the knob on the diverter valve to allow water to slowly fill the unit for the first time. It will take time for the water to flow through the outlet spout.
3. Return the filter to the upright position and allow the water to run to waste for a minimum of 10 minutes
4. To allow the filter to be conditioned to the source water, leave the unit to stand unused for a further 24 hours and then run the first 15 litres of water to waste.
5. The filter is now ready for use.
