I think your 'why' is rooted in what you instinctively love to do. It is always on your mind. You meditate on it. You day dream about it. You are motivated by it. Most people never get there because they are stuck in a systematic cycle of trying to make money to survive. The irony is your 'why', your 'purpose' will produce far greater rewards then what you 'normally' do. Thanks @simonsinek you always make me think, reflect, and act!

I agree with everything you said. About two years ago I started my personal "why" journey and found very similar results. Making life choices can be really hard if you don't know your "why" and "where you are heading to". All of a sudden so many choices seem so much simpler, more rewarding, you feel more self confident since you know that these decisions lead you to your goals and everything gets so much more meaning.
