EU finance ministers met in Brussels on Monday to discuss the next steps following the decision to extend financial assistance to Greece by up to four months.
Greece needs to agree on a range of reforms to unlock the next tranche of financial aid from its lenders, or the country will be at risk of running out of cash later this month.
“We agreed today that there is no further time to lose,” Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem told reporters. “Discussions between the Greek authorities and the institutions must and will start as of Wednesday with the view to achieve a speedy and successful conclusion of the review,” he added.
