Proof We Landed on the Moon is in the Topography

Guys, I'm not out to take on hoaxers, that's literally just the lead in to sharing this awesome paper!

My favorite proof was in our physics class we took the moon walk videos and walked through them frame by frame plotting the path of a dust particle of our choice. We then took that information, the framerate of the video and plugged it in to calculate the pull of gravity on that dust particle. Then when we got ~1.6m/s we knew that it was video from the moon. It was an awesome way to spend class.

I spent many years arguing with my grandmother about stuff like this. She never believed in the moon landings but thought wrestling was real. :)

I saw a video a few days ago where a guu was claiming that the moon was only 5 miles above the surface of the earth.

The strangest part was he is still adamant we never landed on it... but if it were so close we would have been landing on it a very long time ago.

Years ago I talked to the director of the University of Texas MacDonald Observatory, in Fort Davis, Texas (it's a bit off the beaten path). One thing he said was that the Lunar landing hoax people never talked to him. His observatory had been illuminating the reflectors left by Apollo on an almost daily basis since their emplacement.

It's pretty cool that they did something so amazing that some people don't even believe they did it because of the seemingly impossibility of the task at the time.

Seriously though, thank you sooo much for addressing this topic. It seems there are way more flatards, conspiratards and hoaxtards than sensible people who recognize the best example of our species' ability to work together to perform miracles. The Apollo program makes me proud to be a human being. I would love to have seen the Apollo 8 mission as it happened. Can you imagine? I get chills watching it on my phone in 2017!

I've come to believe that there is no amount of proof we can use to get some people to understand that we DID land on the moon. Oh well, at least we get another great video from you, so it's a win for us!
