Bill Simmons has come out on his podcast and said he heard from inside sources that a big part of the KAT- Julius Randle trade was because of serious "chemistry concerns" from the front office. Now, was this breaking news, absolutely not and we've heard of this concern ever since the Mikal Bridges trade, but Bill Simmons saying he heard this from an inside source kind of validates it. This was not an emotional move this was a business move. KNICK brass could not take the risk of losing Randle at end of season to free agency for no return. If they had made headway on his extension, I don't think we would have traded him. The Big Ragu didn't want a reduced roll, so they used him to sweeten the deal for Minnesota and accommodate him.

While I like the trade and am excited for the season to start, I understand what you are saying. If the deal could have been done while keeping Donte, I wouldn't have any doubts about the trade. When you add it up 6 first round picks (most unprotected) plus draft swaps is a lot to give up to upgrade from Donte to Mikal and Randle to Towns. Yes, Mikal is better than Donte, but we'd all feel a lot better about this current team with Donte on it.

Nobody should had no concerns about chemistry after 14-2 record what OG trade produced....Julius Randle was the number #1 option going into the season before the KAT trade. As far as I'm concerned, this trade shouldn't happen, and they should have ran it back.

JR is really good when he shows up and plays within the flow of the game and gets his teammates involved. Other than that he always gets injured, is mostly a ball stopper, produces unnecessary turnovers by being a ball hog at times, not really a good defender and is not the same player in the playoffs. His shooting from outside is nowhere near Kat’s pct. Also, M Rob is always hurt. He is who I call Mr. Glass. We needed a big man and Kat is still one of the best in the league. Knock it off👀😐🤣 look at all the highlights where KAT always cooked JR👀😐

I dont agree with what your saying, i at first didnt love trade due to giving up donti, but the more i ghought about it, i like trade now. I think kat is a better fit on team than randle. Team played well last year without randle, kat gets the ball and shoots 3 pointers, and rarely seems to miss, randle is more of a ball hog, and is a lot more streaky. Kats shooting over 40 percent, and with robinson hurt we needed another big guy, and kat is one of the best.

The NY Knicks 🧡 and Julius Randle doesn't get along for years. Knicks fans know their bad relationship and why the Knicks didn't resign Randle. That's why they traded away Randle, "No Drama" for the Knicks just "Peace".

I am always going to show love to Randle. That dude came here when no1 else wanted to and got us back into the post season. I am not a fan of KAT and his soft way of playing; the man is scared to bang out and play defense.

My dude is speaking from the fan 2K perspective and living off last January get off that Julius wanted his bread which he deserved MAX and he wanted the rock and neither were there for him this is a business move KAT is a KD type but bigger and younger DUDE SHOOTS 40% from 3 as a center WTF ..the same FANS crying over this move r the same that were in a uproar over the Brunson signing.

I love all my Knicks fan pages but this is kind of been a bad off-season for all of you guys most of the stories are assumptions and sources not directly from the New York Knicks organization. And a lot of the stories are repetitive how many town stories are we going to get I seen 10 in total from the same three pages

Julius had some years to show himself when it COUNTED, and he didn't. He complains way too much for the money he was paid, he NEVER liked NYC from countless interviews. I thought he would do better this year but his time ran out. If you have beef with NYC then you need to play elsewhere.
