Diddy didn't want Biggie to leave because he made a deal with a promoter for Biggie to show up for the after party at the museum later that night. In a interview with Dj Clark Kent he was in the hotel with Biggie before he left for the party and Clark Kent asked why is he going out when he knew it wasn't safe for them in L.A.
