⌛ It's not obvious, but there's an easy way to block all email sent to you from a single domain. Just make sure it's really what you want.

At 4:12, you can choose the filter rule: "Apply the label" and Choose "Junk E-mail" as the label. I am pretty sure that will send all emails from that domain to the spam folder.

Outlook filters spam into a Junk folder, but the filters you create yourself will only work on your Inbox, not your Junk folder. So, you end up having to look thru all of the spam in your Junk folder to make sure Microsoft didn’t put good email into your Junk folder.

A whitelist would typically take precedence over a blacklist.
Specific rules generally take precedence over general rules.

So putting specific, individual e-mail addresses into a whitelist (or "always allow" list), should result in that e-mail always getting through to your inbox.

Based on our host's video, that configuration option seems to be absent from gmail's offerings.
But the above might be useful information for people using other e-mail services.

I wonder if Microsoft's "Power Automate" tool can be trained to identify specific e-mail messages that made it into your inbox, and automatically take the action you desire?

I have never used Power Automate. But I have seen some folks use it, and it looks intriguing. Hint for our host's consideration for a future video.

Thanks for that tip! In my case, if I wanted to review them I could pick the option to skip the inbox and archive. I have never used the archive since I never quite understood what it's for that folders don't do better. It doesn't save space either, correct? I'd like to know what it's intended purpose is/was and what everyone else uses it for (or not).

Does the deletion function put the incoming messages into the trash folder or are they deleted from the server?
What if say, I am getting messages from country codes that I know are spam, can I use the filter to delete, say, *.ru
Thank you.
