I got to see the 2017 eclipse. That was the most incredible thing I have ever seen. When the sun was behind the moon you could see the shadows of the mountains and craters moving across the whole world. It also looked like sunset 360.

I saw the total eclipse about ten years ago here in washington state and it was eerie. It was noon and bright sunny day then eclipse happened and it was like i was wearing sunglasses. The entire valley was dimmed for a couple minutes. I encourage anyone in the path of eclipse to take a few minutes and check it out. Its worth it

Awesome! But I kinda wish you'd released this BEFORE the Feb 22 conjunction.

years ago, while in college, my roommate and I were walking back to the dorm after attending a party, and looked up to see this HUGE perfect comet in the sky. Just stunning to look at, very clear, it was comet Bennett. No other comet since has been as clear and beautiful as it was.

I remember hearing about the big solar eclipse back in 2020 and thinking "I'm gonna drive across the country and see this one in person" and of course the last 4 years absolutely FLEW by, and I am most likely not going to pull it off. Just too many respinsibilities in life right now, really bummed about it but also excited that I'll get to see it partially from here in Norcal. Hopefully I'm able to catch the next one, in my old age haha.

When the total eclipse came through Missouri the exact center of totality was in my backyard. So we had a big party for it there.

Was in the path of totality during undergrad in 2017, moved to do undergrad last summer and I’ll be in the path of totality in 2024 too. I’m looking forward to it!

I remember Hale-Bopp, the great comet of 1997. It was in the sky every night for weeks. (Or at least, in my memory looking back over 27 years, it seems like it was weeks.) The bright nucleus and two tails, one blue and one yellow, stretching across near half the sky. It was like nothing else I've ever seen. I was 17 at the time, I'm 43 now heading for 44, but I've never forgotten it. If A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS is even half as impressive it will be an incredible sight.

If we get what the majority is thinking/wanting/feeling inside, your channelling makes me feel so much better and calmer.
It's 2024. I think the majority is not wanting to be ruled and live feeling on edge like in the dark ages. We like LIVING life - to feel relaxed rather than wonder what new chaos will we face every day, being able to do more than scratch to survive, to travel freely, to enjoy family, friends, and the things that give life meaning.
Yes, it's time for sensible decency and balance. 😊
Thank you, Susan!

I hear about comets and I remember Hale/Bopp back in the 90s. I doubt any comet in my lifetime will be even half as huge as that was. It wasn't just clear in the daytime it was impossible to miss.

April 8, baby!!!! In the direct path in New Hampshire and loaded with gear (telescope with eclipse lens, phone lens, 30+ pairs of glasses to hand out). If you didn't book a room by mid-February, looks like you're sleeping an hour away from the direct zone.

Eeeeek *CAN'T WAIT*

For anyone celebrating the biblical holy days, these major eclipses fall on the high sabbaths of the Passover week and The day of Trumpets

I saw the triple conjunction in the night sky in rural Thailand. Had no idea what I was looking at, but it was very fun to see.

Heading to San Antonio in April for totality. Saw it in Casper in 2017 & experienced bumper to bumper traffic all the way back to Denver. Totally worth it, though!
