I was thinking about why the inner product is defined like that and I thought part of it is contains the information u1v1 + u2v2 = 0 means they are perpendicular, so that u1v1 = -u2v2 and u1/u2 = -v2/v1, which basically is saying the slopes of the lines on which each vector sits are additive and multiplicative inverses. Is this a useful observation in terms of intuitive understand?

Thank you ❤ How the inner product measure angels besides detecting orthogonality ?
