If they can make it work then do it but if they can’t leave the Batman universe alone

When I first heard this argument I thought the Batman should be separated but now I feel that I would be ok with it

I think they need to slowly make the Batman universe more supernatural. Like ik it didn’t end that well but arrow started out pretty grounded and then they introduced flash and then it lead to crossovers with people like supergirl. If they did something like that, it could work. That’s just my opinion.

I think they should because having 2 competing batman fighting for rights of different villians and sections of the world of batman will be a huge problem for dc and restrict what the world of batman could be

PersonaIIy it depends on what Robert wants, as someone who respects actors heavily, I think if Robert Pattinson wants to play this character for 10/15 years he should sign the contract and be the first Batman on the big screen to have a robin since the 90’s, but if he doesn’t wanna commit give him a separate trilogy and be done until elseworlds for like a cameo

I feel like his recent statements were more “ya I’m just doing my thing and when I’m done, if they still want Rob then it’s not really in my hands anymore”. As in, he is going to continue the story that he is doing unhindered. Then when he is finished, if WB really wants it and Rob is open to it, it could maybe happen

The Batman needs to be in its separate universe.

IF rob is the DCU Batman, that’s a big if, he will be a variant.

They are honestly making the right move here for the future of DC I feel like. People don’t realize that if Matt Reeves Batman is in a separate universe, that means we’ll get a complete new Batman In James Gunn’s Universe and that would confuse audiences with two different Batmen on screen. I think the tone of Reeves Batman would work in the Gunn universe but that doesn’t mean they don’t have to be cautious with it. What really made the Batman unique was its portrayal of Gotham. I think if we get that same concept in the DCU, and see how Metropolis looks in Superman, it’ll really show the contrast between the two cities and how unique the DCU is as a whole.

I’d love to see a World’s Finest movie with both of them. We don’t need another Batman!

At first I was like they need to be separate but IMO they should really try to make combining them work. I don't really like the idea of 2 on screen Batmen at the same time. My main concern would be would Pattinson even want to chain himself to the DCU? Thats easily a bigger commitment.

I don’t want Pattinson in the DCU. I just want a version of the character reminiscent of Kevin Conroy’s take on Batman. A real, distinct, masculine and iconic voice. Not all that whisper gravel emo mess👍🏿

I wouldn’t like it if the Batman was fighting somebody like clayface in the dcu

I’m thinking the villain (if separate universe) will be pyg. But if it’s part of the dcu, I think it might be Hugo strange and his monsters/manbat

Do you think we should see Richard Madden or Brandon Sklenar, who are in the same age group as Robert Pattinson should play Batman in James Gunn DC projects in the DCU?
