Mine is black screen and while i decided whether to try to repair it or just toss it, i put it in the basement and forgot about it. Just now I was working in the basement so decided to turn it on to listen to the sound only while i puttered around and after about 45 minutes the screen suddenly came on, fully normal, lasted about 30 seconds then went black again. If it's burnt out back light I would think it can't come back on
