Thank you for this tutorial, the theorical and practical descriptions have been of great help. I have a few questions that I hope you can help me solve. When I applied the script to my set of data in Octave, it computed the coefficients but it did not generate the polynomial with the corresponding coefficient values. The polynomial just shows zeros as the coefficients, I tried with various powers (up to 10 since my data set is extense). I believe for this same reason, the resulting graph places the points on the x-axis. Thank you!
