As a Jack Russell Terrier owner, I can confirm that this is exactly what Pumpkin does every time the mailman comes. In fact, it's what she does when anyone walks by. In fact, it's what she does if anyone walks IN THEIR OWN YARD. She has convinced the Labrador to do the same. Send help.

I'm a letter carrier. Walter the Labrador makes my whole day because he's just so happy to see me. His people put out a box for deliveries because he likes to carry the packages and hide them. Loki and Yoshi the Siberians are pretty close to this. The Saint in the video is pretty much the Landseer on my route.
