This video shows you how to do a simple gelcoat repair. The canoe in the video is made from Aramid Lite, but the same technique can be applied to any composite canoe with a gelcoat finish including fiberglass, TuffStuff, TuffStuff Expedition, and Blue Steel.

We're going to miss you Tim. I sincerely hope the new owner of Nova Craft Canoe continues the excellent tradition and quality production that you established. I'm down in Satellite Beach, Florida paddling a twenty year old Mohawk Blazer canoe but have told anyone who will listen that my next canoe is a Nova Craft Prospector in TuffStuff and I don't mind driving to Canada to pick it up if I have to. Good luck to you in your future endeavors.

Sweet! If I can get a prospector at MEC in Vancouver in Tuff Stuff Expedition without shipping costs (currently they only stock standard tuff stuff), then I think you guys have sold me!

Can a Blend out thinner spray be used to loose the edge of the repair ?

On my 1 year old bkuesteel canoe, the crack not only on the gelcoat but also breaks the fabric as well, about 3 inches long. I can see the crack on both side of canoe. Do I repair the outside just the same way as do the inside?
