Rare Gemstones of Nelson: Unearthing Poppy Jasper

In this video, I’ll show you how to fossick for the elusive poppy jasper along the river. Found only in the Nelson Mineral Belt of New Zealand, this rare and stunning gemstone is a prized discovery for any rock hunter.

We also find and identify hydrogrossular garnets, grossular garnets, rodingite, pakohe and dunite.
